Well, I do wear my librarian hat but not my teaching hat. I devote 9 days
to selling and fundraising twice each year and I do not teach classes. It
is vital that I do this and write grants and beg for money because that is
the reality of my job now, but I am still a librarian during Book Fair.
Our parents ask for my opinion and respect the expertise I can share.
Teachers also talk with me about suggestions. Our fairs are successful and
I enjoy them but they are exhausting and I really never thought I would
invest this much in fundraising. Some days I resent this part of my job,
but then again I do love my job and this is just one part of it.
