Dear NCUC,
this mail is a first note after a while – from mail in my box I can see
that some of you were wondering if I still exist.
To make it short: I was plagued by three problems – my harddisk crashed,
the second loss within a year, and this time it took part of by backup
away too; my health was not always the best, which may be related to the
third problem: our organization is in a crisis ever since a support
application did not work out, and there is no agreement yet among us why
this happened, and how to get over it.
I am sorry that I could not be available for NCUC and especially in
relation to GNSO affairs which I see on the list. I am now doing as much
as possible reading through the "piles" of e-mail and hope to be
available again from now on.
If you have a young and strong replacement, now living in a country like
Cambodia where it is still more tricky than in some other places to
recover from an harddisk crash (and from some medical problems), and in
a time zone where the next GNSO teleconference is not at 2 a.m. - I am
happy to turn over my role to someone else. But I will try, from now on
again, to live up to your expectations.
FYI - I hope to be also at the GNSO and other ICANN events end of March
in Wellington.
Norbert Klein
