But let us also take into account that the original system had 
significant improvementes, especially AnyCast (mirroring of root 
servers), and the recent efforts to deploy DNSSec. The central issue 
today is of political control: alterations in the root zone file are 
still subject to USG's exclusive "visto bueno".
