Hi,
It has been 8 days and there have been no comments on the list yet - though I did receive one offlist comment for a change that I requested be floated on the list.
I am sure it is not a perfect document so I am worried that people have not had time to read it yet. Please let me assure you that it is not very long.
Preparations are underway for the vote, which is scheduled to begin after this review stage.
for the vote, please make sure that Robin has the correct address for your ballot. This is especially critical for the organizational representatives.
One correction on the message below. I was informed that one week was not nearly enough for a group as large as this to vote. The period will therefore be longer. As soon as I have the exact details I will send them out. given that 60% of the membership must vote to approve for the charter to be accepted by the group and forwarded on to the Board for review and approval, it will be critical for everyone to vote. And while it is perfectly fine to vote against the charter because you are against the charter, I hope we can avoid having too many members vote against by default, i.e. by just not voting.
thanks
a.

In order to be approved, it will be necessary for the charter to receive 60% of the member vote in favor of sending the charter on for approval by the Board.
