Hi,
I want to thank those in NCSG, and in NCUC, who have taken the chance to nominate me for Board Seat 14 and to support my candidacy with public endorsements their personal appeals to our CSG Brothers and Sisters. Should I be lucky enough to win it, I will do my best to serve the best interests of all non contracted parties' and would never give up my non commercial sensibilities and awareness.
To DeeDee, you are, of course correct. We need more diversity in all leadership positions in ICANN, including the Board. We have some very fine new participants in NCSG who I sincerely hope to see take the positions of leadership in the near future - in the constituencies, in the stakeholder groups, in working groups and on the Board. Then again, if you look at the straight male makeup of most of the current Board, I dare say I would offer a wee bit of diversity. But the more diversity the better. Whether it is more women or more LGBT, or more old and more young, or more indigenous peoples or more people from development areas or people of color or disability - more diversity in all of the roles in ICANN should always be a factor.
My thanks to all of you.
a.
