Hi,

The secretariat has informed us that they will produce a summary of the
meeting.

One of the meeting participants asked about recordings. We wee told that
they made them to help in summary production but that they don't keep
them online because of space considerations. We did not pursue the
subject at that point, but i expect we will either on the list or in a
MAG call.

In brief the *Retreat on Advancing the 10-Year Mandate of the IGF
<http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/igf-retreat>
*

(personally i love a title that starts with "retreat on advancing")

The retreat is happening.

There will be a call for open contributions that discuss not only the
subject matter but the process.

Based on discussion they are looking into remote participation for some
limited portions of the meeting - no decision yet.

Based on discussion they are looking into having the meeting live
tweeted Chatham House style (content w/o attribution) or providing some
other form of update - no decision

They the retreat is just the start of process. No decision but
recommendations as input to other processes, like MAG, DESA, UNGA &c.

The retreat is a one time event and does not constitute the creation of
a yet another group of advisers.

I will pass on the summary when it comes out.

And NCSG-discuss has others who were there who may want to add some
discussion of their favorite issues from the meeting.
