Good question Ayden,

to the best of my knowledge there is some activity on “underserved” 
areas, both at the GAC level as well as at the ICANN level. The first 
one lost steam after the weak result of the new gTLDs for those ares, 
the second one is gaining steam trough some regional studies. I 
personally follow the one for LAC, and this week we expect some 
interesting results in the III LAC DNS market meeting, schedule as per 
attachment. It is also most important the those weak results are part of 
the respective work track in the PDP on subsequent rounds (#1 or #2, 
sorry but I have lost track over the last few weeks of the summer).
