Why do I have the feeling I have been nominated for the position
of liaison between South and North Korea? :)

Yes, there is definitely a need for the GNSO to be aware of GAC
actions, initiatives - and politics. I also do expect (if the Council
confirms my position) to do a fair bit of pointing out PDPs and
processes.
