Congratulations, Wolfgang! This award is extremely well deserved for
your so many initiatives, contributions and achievements in capacity
building.
All the best,
Flávio
> For those who didn’t attend in person, or watch live, the Opening ceremony of ICANN 75, once of the highlight was the Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building, a prestigious award for those who helped build the community, was awarded to Wolfgang Kleinwächter, who is a participant on this mailing list, a very long term member of the NCSG, and someone who has been a participant at ICANN in many different roles, including representing NCSG on NomCom, being a GNSO Councillor, ALAC and an ICANN Board member. He also thoroughly deserves the award for creating and running the Meissen School of Internet Governance, which has helped many people learn about Internet governance over the years.
> I personally was very glad I didn’t sleep in and was able to see the award announcement live, I only wish Wolfgang could have been here in person in Kuala Lumpur. It is notable, for both this award and the Ethos award, that NCSG is well represented, as it contains so many of the communities best people, Wolfgang definitely among them.
> So congratulations Wolfgang!
