I have concerns around the migration to Zoom, not so much because of the interface (though I think it does not work as well as Adobe Connect when you have 100+ people in a room), but because this migration has occurred with no prior community consultation.

I happen to find it very disrespectful that ICANN expects 3,000+ volunteers to spend their time downloading, installing, and learning how to use a new tool in order to save ICANN a few thousand dollars. Our time is worth something, surely?

I also have deep concerns about this migration because many historical records are preserved only in the proprietary Adobe Connect format. Not every meeting gets transcribed. I sure do hope we do not lose access to these important records, as convenient as that might be for ICANN. I am assured by staff that no records will be lost but details on how they will be preserved are not forthcoming.
