Very good paper with valuable observations. I can only echo the
observations about the GAC, and express my concern that most of
the GAC members who have expressed an interest in the ePDP come
from the Public Safety camp, with very little interest in the
privacy or data protection aspects. This reflects the background
of many GAC members, but also lobbying on a national level. I really
urge all of you to get in touch with your national representatives
and let them know of your concerns. Many countries arrange (often
informal) pre-ICANN meetings on a national level, usually coordinated
by the GAC representative.
