1 - I find a mailing list to be an efficient, coherent, relevant and
time-saving means of communication. In addition, it would be
extremely difficult to agree on a more universal one.
2 - The qualities you reasonably expect would be enhanced if we
striveto keep a modicum of netiquette in the list. E.g., its completely
worthlessto quote 3642 words, the full contents of a daily list digest,
for an unrelated44 word message.
