The ICANN81 AGM still feels far off, but as we are in the process
of electing a new chair for NCSG, I would like to propose a change
in how the chair role is handed over. Seems our traditional way has
been "sometime soon after the AGM". In my view, we need a more clearly
defined changeover point, and I feel it would be natural to use
the same point as the GNSO Council - so I suggest my successor takes
over the chair role at the time of the GNSO Council meeting where the
new councillors are seated. This also allows for a better managed
process for bringing the new chair up to speed and handing over
tasks.
How does this sound? Opinions and comments welcome...
