As indicated earlier, you can send Maryam a telephone number to dial out to before the call starts. If the Internet connection you are using is reliable enough, you can use the audio feature in the Adobe Connect (AC) room.
I would advise folks to log in to the AC room even if you are using a phone, as there are often documents being shared on it. There is also a cool chat feature in the AC room, which allows participants to type comments that they do not necessarily wish to say out loud. The contents of the chat remain as part of the public record of the call. Finally, the AC room helps organise the meeting, as participants can use it to raise hands to be placed in a queue to speak.
Apart from using the phone and AC room audio, one can also dial in to the conference using Skype. Just dial in using the United States toll free number. That’s usually what I do. The audio feature in the AC room is not always ideal. If you have access to a decent Internet connection, using Skype may be preferable (or at least an available alternative).
