I am sorry but you are completely wrong about this. 
The petition is appealing the decision to not change the ballot. 
If the EC and the appellants cannot agree, we have to have a vote of the entire membership to resolve the issue.
That vote would precede the current election in priority, because the subject of that vote is the election itself. 
If the membership vote upholds the appeal, the election will have to happen all over again. 

In other words, the validity of the election is rejected.
There's no room for debate about the interpretation of the charter on this matter

I look forward to a consensus outcome of the EC meeting tomorrow. 
I can assure you there will not be a consensus outcome if you continue with these kinds of childish unilateral announcements.
