Hi,

We have not been running a ballot yet. People have been giving their
support to the candidate of their choice. It is the way this list, and
many civil society lists have run for at least the years of my
experience. A ballot is something formal by the PC as the charter
states. I am surprised that Sam dropped out. I did not see acrimony.
Nor did I intend any. Though I did intend to be firm in my resolve and
direct in the expression of that resolve.

And I invited Sam or his nominators to give his credentials and explain
why he was the best and what he had done in ICANN to show that.

What I was unwilling to see done, was have the election rules changed.

Best,

avri
