I too have no objections to NCSG supporting the letter, but I do have a 
comment.

Having been involved with the UN at several levels I would expect the UN 
to respond very very slowly to this recommendation.
In the end, if the UN does act, I would expect what gets endorsed to 
look quite different from what was recommended.
Sometimes I hope my expectations are wrong! :-\
