I don't think that option would be acceptable to most of the appellants. 
The whole point of the complaints about the ballots was that people wanted to have an effective vote when there were no contested seats. Making NOTA advisory only won't satisfy that concern.

My hope, too. But you need to get the leadership to listen to you, because our chair has shown a complete inability or unwillingness (can't tell the difference in this case) to find a path to agreement.
