Which ever way NCSG goes on initial participation in the WEF-lead
Netmundial Initiative, so long as the initiative continues Civil Society
will have to both participate and track activities closely. Maybe the
initiative will head in good directions without a lot of tender loving
care (TLC) from participating Civil Society, or maybe it will tend to
veer off into questionable directions, in which case Civil Society will
have to devote a lot more than TLC.

The least good option would be for Civil Society to decide not to join
in at the start, and then simply walk away. It could decide not to join
in at the design stage, but commit to close engagement within the
proposed multistakeholder processes.
