Hi,

Perhaps '+1' seems a bit more curt to those who have not being using
this shorthand for a long time.*

One of the reasons though for announcing/collecting nominations on the
full NCSG DISCUSS list even though it is the Policy Committee that is
charter to make the decision is to give the NCSG memberships a chance to
express their views so the PC voters can take those opinions into
account when making the decision.

* I don't personally use it too often as I rarely agree with everything
someone else as said, and +1 is rather strong endorsement of someone
else's opinion.
