Have you tried a new cable? I think this happened to my 9000 and I just replaced the cable to regain the interface connection. The plug pins can get corroded over time in an acidic environment.

Subject: Plea for DRC-e/DRC II CPU board
To: [log in to unmask]
Dear Colleagues, the CPU board of our Perkin Elmer DRC-e has failed. A GPIB connection could not be established anymore, even a change of the 9914BPL chip itself and the surrounding GPIB interface glue logic didn't fix the problem. Is there any known fix for a failure of just the GPIB interface while all other CPU board functions are still available? Furthermore, Perkin Elmer did inform us that they can't supply us with a fitting CPU board anytime soon so I'd like to ask the list members if anybody could provide us with a working DRC-e/DRC II CPU board. Thanks in advance. Horst Dzuban -- Triplex Design Farbe Lack e.K. Owner: Horst Dzuban Ahornweg 2 86489 Deisenhausen Germany Tel: (08282) 829947 Fax: (08282) 829949
