What kind of precautions one must take when analyzing Hg along with Pb and As from human whole blood? I cover the calibrators stored in metal free clear 50 mL screwcap tubes with aluminum foil and stored at 4⁰C. Does one need to aliquot the samples in diluents in room with amber lightsand not in rooms with fluorescent lights? How often one needs to remake the calibration standard stocks from individual metal intermediate stocks? It seems I need to make them every week so as to obtain the calibrations with 0.999 correlation coefficient especially for Hg. Is that normal?
Thank you in advance for your advice and suggestions.
