I've already tried a direct link to the the CPU board.
I've also asked a PE support engineer about swapping CPU boards between
the 6000 and the DRC-e and he strongly advised against it, citing
different support voltages and changes in the bus structure.
I'm also a bit wary to lose another working ICP-MS by such an experiment.
