We have a new Aglient 8900 ICP-QQQ and are also new to Agilent software.
We’ve been playing around with our laser coupled to the ICP (Cetac LSX213) and have some questions.
We’ve been using a mass integration time of 0.01 seconds - does this sound reasonable?
Do you tune on the laser? How do you do this? On our old ICP (PE Elan 6100) we would tune on liquid and it worked fine for laser mode.
We’re running with He at 600 ml/min and makeup gas at 1.0 L/min. What do you keep the makeup gas at?
Finally, does anyone know a way to output the data in a more user friendly format?
We get headers that can’t be read by Iolite (e.g., Li7 -> 7) - this is the biggest format issue we have.
Each laser spot we shoot gets out into its own folder so we wind up with hundreds of folders, which isn’t very convenient.
