I used to perform a method for Cr+6 but it required a complex and
precipitation of the Cr+6. After the precipitation, the supernatant
conatining any Cr+3 was aspirated off and discarded while the resulting
precipitate was dissolved with HNO3 and HCl converting all the complexed
Cr+6 to Cr+3 before analysis by ICP. I cannot remember the method number
but perhaps someone out there recognizes the method and can offer it. I
hope this helps.
