Based on the subject line of your posting (which by the way is probably
inappropriate) it sounds like you are nearing the end of your tether.
There are two particularly good service resources available for VG ICP - MS
systems that you may want to contact. The first is Lee Griffiths at
Ionflight. Lee's office number in Boston, Mass is (617) 803 - 1121. The
other person, Chris Rowland, is located in the UK. Unfortunately I don't
have a contact number for Chris, but perhaps someone else on the list does.
Good luck with your PQ2. Generally speaking they are fine instruments and
have tended to provide their users with years of high performance mass

I am still unable to get the machine running properly. Apparently there
were similar problems which were resolved by fixing the grounding in the
torch box. Can anyone think of a reason for signal instability and poor
sensitivity which may be due to a front-end electronic problem (torch box,
RF generator, etc.)?
