It gives me great pleasure to confirm and respond to the posting by Mike
today re the purchase of the inorganic instrumentation group of the Waters
Corporation (Formerly Micromass) by GV Instruments.
(Thank you both Martin Brown and Ken Fredeen for the kind words and
Obviously, the ink is hardly dry on the agreement between the two companies
and so infrastructure and transfer issues are currently being established.
Letters and additional forms of communication are presently being prepared to
provide the relevant details of the transition to our current customers. It
is extremely important to all of us at GV Instruments to ensure that everyone
is kept informed.

The group including products relating to isotope ratio MS, multi-collector
ICPMS and quadrupole ICPMS was purchased from the Waters Corporation by a
group lead by Dr Tony Williams. The headquarters and manufacturing facility
for GV instruments is located in Wythenshawe, UK with additional sites
established worldwide, including Hudson, NH and Montreal, servicing North
This is of course a very exciting development for the employees and
representatives of GV Instruments worldwide, establishing a unique and total
commitment to the inorganic analysis community which we serve.
