Is there an analytical reason you are considering replacing the detector? Sensitivity, stability, high background?
The detector is almost one of the very last things you would change, the Agilent ICP-MS has several mechanisms that stop excessive / unwanted photons and ions impacting on the detector.
The upper voltages for an Agilent system are Analogue -3500volts, Pulse +2000volts, this cannot be considered the absolute measurement of a detector lifetime. All detectors are coated with photon producing material, it completely depends on how fast this is eroded, either by legitimate ions entering or stray uncontrolled ions/photons/neutrals.
Typically I would expect 2~5+ years of good operation from an Agilent system. This does depend in on how high the primary concentration is.
After all that, your detector on the information you have provided is in good condition. It probably has a few year left just based on the voltages.

Subject: ICP-MS - Replacing Detector - When?
We own the Agilent 7500ce with ORS. Machine has been running smoothly since 2006, but I have a question ...
We are thinking to replace the detector, however it is not clear to me if it is necessary or not at this point.
We use this ICPMS only with a laser ablation system.
Voltages are currently: Analog 2090 and Pulse 1260.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
