I am very concerned about the notion of having yet another race to TLDs... On one hand, I agree with Avri, things should be as open and free as possible. But, on the other side, one should never poke the tiger with a short stick(*), meaning, we may be wakening a beast that we have not yet learned how to control. Best regards from Portugal, Nuno (*) in Brazil they have the saying "cutucar a onça com pau curto" which I translated to the above expression, although a tiger is not a "onça". 2010/3/17 "Kleinwächter, Wolfgang" < [log in to unmask]> > FYI have a look into the letter from the Vatican in its capacity as GAC > member to the ICANN CEO. > http://www.icann.org/correspondence/polvani-to-twomey-20feb09.pdf > > Wolfgang > > > ________________________________ > > Von: Non-Commercial User Constituency im Auftrag von Marc Perkel > Gesendet: Mi 17.03.2010 17:14 > An: [log in to unmask] > Betreff: Re: Interesting challenge - .reality > > > Wonder who will get the .god TLD? > > Rafik Dammak wrote: > > the domain name was supposed to be the way for heaven for some > people , but with trademark issues is becoming a hell :) > > Rafik > > > 2010/3/18 Marc Perkel <[log in to unmask]> > > > How would this be evaluated?
