Dear Constituency / Stakeholder Group Leaders,

Please find below a ‘hold the date’ announcement for a webinar that ICANN policy staff will be organizing on policy development with the objective to engage new participants in ICANN, and especially GNSO policy development activities.
We hope you will share this announcement with organizations / individuals that you think might or should be interested in getting more involved in ICANN.

As a follow up to this webinar, and to take advantage of the next ICANN meeting taking place in Brussels where many organizations and companies have representations, we are exploring the concept of a GNSO Constituency / Stakeholder Group Networking event to take place on Tuesday afternoon / evening at the end of constituency day. The idea would be to invite interested parties with your help to attend this event at which each constituency / stakeholder group has an opportunity to provide a short presentation about themselves to the audience. In addition, each constituency / stakeholder group would be allocated a table / corner in the room, so that conversations can be continued with interested participants. We hope such an event might help attract new participants to GNSO policy development as well as the GNSO Community as a whole. We would be interested to hear whether your constituency / stakeholder group would be interested in participating in such an event before considering any further arrangements. Please share your feedback with Marika Konings at [log in to unmask]" style="color: blue; text-decoration: underline; ">[log in to unmask].

Thanks,

Marika

About ICANN:
To reach another person on the Internet you have to type an address  into your computer - a name or a number. That address has to be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN coordinates these unique identifiers across the world, so that there can be one global Internet. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) was formed in 1998. It is a not-for-profit partnership  of people from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable. It promotes competition and develops policy on the Internet’s unique identifiers, primarily the domain name system (DNS), IP addresses, and port numbers.
