Subject: NCSG Approved SG Charter for ICANN Board Endorsement

Dear Ray,

The NCSG charter vote has completed successfully with the acceptance by the NCSG of the charter by 70% of the NCSG members.

Details on the vote can be found at: https://st.icann.org/ncsg-ec/index.cgi?non_commercial_stakeholder_group

Briefly:

Of 199 possible voters, 142 members voted, that is 71.3% of the membership.
Of 314 possible votes, 231 votes were cast that is 73.6% of the total possible vote.

221 votes were cast in favor of the charter
10 votes were cast against the charter.

This means that 70.38% of the members voted in favor of the charter, which is greater then the 60% threshold defined for success.

The charter remains unchanged from the draft charter you reviewed last month. We have reworked the cover letter to address the additional issues you itemized in your letter of 29 May 2010.

We request that this charter be reviewed and endorsed by the ICANN Board of Directors at its earliest possible convenience.  We will include a discussion of the charter with a focus on the Board's concerns as aprt of the agenda for the Board-NCSG meeting to be held in Brussels on 22 Jun 2010.

Thank you
