Chér Baudouin, democracy without transparency is not democracy at all.

If you have questions and doubts, you should voice them and these should be answered. If these do not have an answer, then something is wrong.

I have considered all the arguments in these threads and for me it is not clear that NOT-FOR-PROFIT is a subgroup of NON-COMMERCIAL.

Many not-for-profit organizations have a commercial nature, although they do not seek profit that can be distributed to their shareholders.

Red Cross, for one. How can one distinguish Red Cross from, let us say, Vodafone? Probably the single point of distinction is that Red Cross does accept volunteer work (and Vodafone does not). And of course, the types of services they render (but this distinguishes all other organizations, right?). Yet, they only render services to the communities that are their target if and when someone funds these services.

Not to take it too far, for me, right now, it probably makes sense to have a NOT-FOR-PROFIT constituency, but not in the scope of the NCUC.

Best regards,

Nuno Garcia

Who are the members, non-governmental, non profit ...? Where can I get information about this new group? I am so far confused.
Should we say that these are the consequences of the principles of democracy?

Dear Alex,

NPOC members have absolutely no intention of undermining anyone's outreach efforts.

Kind regards,
Amber

Dear Amber,

Would the expected "Eastern and Western Africa" organisations be Red
Cross/Crescent type only? This is important for me know in my capacity
as NCUC Africa representative considering that I have outreached and
recruited a number throughout all of Africa during my tenure. And I do
not wish have some surprise "defections" - for lack of a better word.

regards,

Alex
