Hello everyone,
ICANN has posted for public comment the initial report from the Working Group (WG) that has been working on recommendations relating to protections for international governmental organizations (IGOs), including the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Federation of the Red Cross (RC), and also for international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Please see below for the details.
NCSG, NPOC and NCUC representatives to the WG included Avri, Robin, Wolfgang, Poncelet and me. The report is not perfect but shows the state of deliberations of the WG and some of our agreements and differences.
I know this issue is important to many members, so I hope this report can set off some discussion on this list and submission of public comments by members - please feel free to submit comments in your personal capacity or as an individual. I hope, too, that the NCSG Policy Committee can comment.
Cheers
Mary
