'Participating from' would be a better fit….a precise head count would be difficult since we didn't attempt to coordinate and there were said to be @ 1500 people registered….@ two dozen NCUCers, as well as Marie-Laure and probably others from NPOC…she'd know the latter better than I.

Sorry to hear this, don't know what happened. There were remote participants in the sessions I attended or know about.

Overall, despite some issues in the preparatory process (e.g. the very delayed host country agreement and consequent travel problems for some folks), most people I've spoken with seemed to think it was a rather successful IGF, with a lot of solid workshops and some good main sessions and pre-events as well. Our workshops were pretty well attended and successful, with some vibrant debates on substantive issues; have a look at the videos if interested http://www.youtube.com/user/igf/videos.

If they have a moment, it'd be good if some of the other folks in attendance could share their impressions...

But the most important stuff may have happened outside the programmed events, e.g. in side meetings, corridor conversations, etc. The main focal point there was the 2014 meeting in Brazil that Fadi and Dilma Rousseff announced. I guess I'll send a separate message on that.

Best,

Bill

IGF's remote participation is always pretty good, so I hope some members around the world will be able to join us. [NB: Depasar is UTC/GMT +8 hours, so adjust the times below accordingly]
