sharing here presentation from ICC about public interest objection process
against some new Top Level Domain, which a mechanism part of new gTLD
program.
while outlining the public interest concept might be controversial, I do
think that is an area of interest for our membership, in addition to the
topic of dispute resolution.

It provides an overview of the process used by The International Center of
Expertise of the International Chamber of Commerce (the ICC) regarding
Community & Limited Public Interest Objections.


They have included a scrutiny process to review the work of the panels.
  See slide 15 and 17.  Part of the aim is to reduce the risk of
inconsistencies between the Expert Determinations.
