+1 for Stephanie. Date: Sun, 10 Aug 2014 21:46:24 -0700 From: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [Important] Nominations are Open for NCSG Annual Elections To: [log in to unmask] All, It is my honor to nominate Stephanie Perrin for GNSO Representative for NCSG. As you already know, Stephanie has been working very hard to address the privacy issues in ICANN's various policies and particularly she was the lone privacy advocate to serve on ICANN's Expert Working Group on WHOIS, who drafted the dissenting opinion to draw attention to the privacy missives with ICANN's proposed plan. Stephanie was also instrumental in holding our privacy event in London with the European
privacy commissioners and activists in June at ICANN #50. Stephanie brings a broad range of experience to her perspective from working as a privacy advocate to working with industry in canada and with government officials for many years to protect online privacy. When I was a staff attorney at EFF, Stephanie was awarded the EFF's "Pioneer Award" for her work to protect online privacy - a decade ago! More recently, NCSG has been well-served by Stephanie's efforts at ICANN EWG and also at NetMundial, representing civil society interests, and we would be lucky to have someone with her expertise and fortitude representing us on the GNSO Council as well. Thank you for considering this nomination of Stephanie Perrin to GNSO Council Representative for NCSG. Best, Robin On Aug 10, 2014,
