Thanks Seun....I am betting insurance companies and the govt are going to get you to connect your vehicle, wont be an option. I realize this is somewhat outside the ambit of this group. I asked the question at a security meeting in Singapore and got the "you just dont get it lady" brush off...but a friend said later that indeed there was a question (beyond the obvious security issues with these networked objects) of how devices were going to be addresssed. And it is certainly a human rights question if we auction off the domains for networked devices to a monopoly provider and prevent individuals from having any control, although as a haggard old privacy advocate I can certainly attest to the truth of what Timothy just posted. People on the whole are not able/eager to assert control. So while I try to stay out of watching the new gTLD auctions, plate already being overloaded, does anyone know if this is happening yet? cheers SP On 2015-03-27 4:28, Seun Ojedeji wrote: > > Hi Stephanie, > > Replying to your question (re: who owns domain of your car), first I > like to say there is practically no way your Honda will be accessible > by domain without the domain being added in the first place so you > will be making an informed decision by adding the domain.
