I strongly support Remmys question on the following up of the Nielsen report.

Hi Rafik
Can we ask the board on what the future holds on the use of the consumer survey conducted recently by Nielsen to improve trust of common Internet users or consumers especially in developing economies where service providers hide under poor infrastructure to rip off data users.

Yes Nora briefed the GNSO, and I asked about getting access to her research.  She said she would post a wiki, but they have not done any research outside ICANN yet, apparently.  Makes one wonder how we actually determine "the public interest".

Can we ask the board how it is coming with its research in the "global public interest".  I believe it was the annual mtg last where we asked the board about its understanding of the global public interest, how it determines, on what basis, etc.  At that time, the board said it was just getting started on compiling some research that it would share and had hired Nora.  So it would be great if we could have an update or further conversation on this concept, how it is determined and applies, etc.

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

we are just few weeks away from the next ICANN meeting in Dublin and we have to be ready for that.

First thing is to start the discussion about the topics we want to discuss with the board during our joint meeting (for Dublin, it will scheduled in Wednesday morning instead of Tuesday as usual)

Please share some topics for discussion and give some description to explain the rationale. we will try to shorten the list up to 3 topics and continue the discussion about those topics and how to present them in order to get interaction.

Finally, please fill the doodle poll  (here http://doodle.com/5umpi4cf2r2ue2dy)if you are going to attend the ICANN meeting.

Best Regards,

Rafik
