Thanks for sharing this article. I just have two questions. Firstly: is this ban on VoIP services a security crackdown, or a move to protect a monopoly? (From the headline I was expecting the former but after reading the article think it could be the latter.) And secondly, do you know how civil society is (or is not) responding to this ban in the country? From what I can gauge from that article, it seems people are mobilising through social media to protest the decision, but I don't see any organisations with more advanced lobbying/organisation skills jumping up and speaking out. My suspicion is that Moroccan civil society is very weak in this regard, but I'm speaking from a position of ignorance here, as I do not have a great deal of knowledge of how policy is made in the country. If anyone can share some insights here, I'd really benefit from hearing them.
