Hi Sam,
Hi everyone !

I'm so sorry for not be able to be in the conference call today. I'm really overloaded with professional concerns in this period of the year and the conference call time was not the best time for me to do volunteer work.

IMHO, the sole manner to make outreach in Africa for NCSG (for NPOC) in general is to be able to participate in events organized by african lead associations like Africa Internet Summit  (AIS or former AfNOG for African Networks Operators Group), or AfTLD (African Top Level Domain association), AFRINIC, AfrICANN, ISoc-Africa, Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie or the Commonwealth group events, etc.

A part from these platforms, every actions are localized and will be limited into the city or into the country where the event is happened. And when you know that Africa is composed with 54 countries or states ... You will more understand the challenges.

My 2 cents,
Warm regards from Lomé, Togo.
Apologies again for not been able to participate in today call.

Olivier,

I see that you could not make it to the Adobe Chat session on now with regard to ICANN's civil society outreach efforts. It is dial-in only to be able to speak, with online input only by the Chat Room.

What is needed is more outreach to African constituencies, as you well know. So, do you have ideas about African outreach that we can help you pursue.

I will be trying to put something together for late August, when I go to Nairobi for SASA. I have to pay for that myself and hope I can cheaply get to Tanzania and Botswana to meet old students who are getting on in age.

Think about it and give me some feedback.

Sam
