Hi Carlos

It’s a part of the Global Shapers thing for younger folks https://www.globalshapers.org and runs parallel to the the Internet for All component of the WEF’s Future of the Internet Initiative https://www.weforum.org/global-challenges/future-of-the-internet/.  This is really about access rather than ICANN issues. Several times in the past when similar initiatives were proposed for endorsement, a few vocal members opposed lending our name to anything outside the ICANN space and the conversation stopped.  I suppose if someone feels that this time should be different they could make a case for it and things go from there.

Best

Bill

Dear Tapani,

we have a few members of the NCSG that are not only members of the CWG on Internet Governance, and are much more active in global Interment causes and more active in WEF initiatives. It would be nice to hear from them. Maybe Bill Drake? Marilia?

Is ICANN (regional) staff participating in this activity? Could also be part of the information we may need for a qualified opinion.

Dear all,

We have been asked to support #Internet4all campaign as explained
below. NCSG Executive Committee wants to hear members' opinions,
should we sign it as NCSG or not. Whether you think we should or not,
feel free to simply indicate your preference ("yes", "no", "+1", "-1")
or explain it more verbosely, as you like.

In any event our members can sign it individually if they so
choose.

If you have any questions about it, Farell Folly is on this
list and should be able to answer them better than I can.

Thank you,

Tapani Tarvainen
