This is a great initiative ! But i think that internet access and  infrastructure are not ICANN's mission. So i think that it would better to support it individually and in this case it would be yes definitely !

You go young friend!!! Bill Drake has prohibited anyone over 40 to participate!!!

I believe that the NCSG has the most varied background in all things Internet and you should alway look for answers to your questions here, its an amazing group based on my personal experience.

But as far as the GNSO Council is concerned, in the happy times of the IANA transition that we are living trough right now, we are all very sensitive to the narrow remit of ICANNs mission, its policy development processes in particular. Fro that reason many colleagues in this thread have said that anybody in its personal capacity should follow up the initiative as they like, not as a NCSG joint exercise.

Hope you enjoy the meeting.

I personally plan on attending this event and luckily be part of this

from a civil society point of view.

Plus, i am young :). I would push for ncsg to endorse if icann
regional staff are planning to officially be there.

Also would like to know if ncuc has never involved itself in anything else
not domain related (as asked by GG).

Deserves support. Highly recommended. Has NCUC not previously supported
non domain issues that are internet related?

I agree, NCUC/NCSG are appropriate vehicles for publicizing these
initiatives among civil society organizations/individuals, and many of its
members may be interested in joining in, but #Internet4All does not seem to
be a domain name policy issue and I think we had better stick to our basic
mission.

Just on this point I hope that as this seems to be an infrastructure
related
campaign.

Still reading about it at the moment but my gut reaction is that this
may be
more appropriate for individual NCUC members and organisations to
endorse?

Is ICANN (regional) staff participating in this activity? Could also
be
part of the information we may need for a qualified opinion.
