SUMMARY

This week, Internet Governance news are dominated by IANA stewardship transition with CCWG-Accountability set to launch Work Stream 2 topics on June 26 at Helsinki on the eve of ICANN 56 while in the U.S, number of congressional republicans question National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) "for apparent violation of federal law in using federal funds to relinquish U.S. oversight of the Internet". Moreover, France senators along with Internet experts rountable on ICANN and release of facts and figures on ICANN diversity by AFNIC happened this week . Besides, India is expected to be a member of the 2016 United Nations Group of Governmental Experts (GGE) set up to identify "rules of the road" for cyberspace. Regarding events, we note OECD ministerial meeting on digital economy in Cancun, ISOC Annual General meeting where Gonzalo Camarillo was elected as new Chair, China Internet Conference.
