Actually, Milton, in addition to action relating to the staff, I think action relating to the BCG is necessary. It is the Board that is primarily derelict, both for not supervising staff and for its own "cavalier" attitude. I would think that the Board should a) demand the BCG explain itself publicy; and b) replace the BCG members with more attentive Board members P Paul Rosenzweig [log in to unmask] O: +1 (202) 547-0660 M: +1 (202) 329-9650 VOIP: +1 (202) 738-1739 www.redbranchconsulting.com My PGP Key: http://redbranchconsulting.com/who-we-are/public-pgp-key/ -----Original Message----- From: NCSG-Discuss [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Mueller, Milton L Sent: Monday, August 8, 2016 2:23 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: time to take action? Dear colleagues: I wrote this blog in response to the latest ICANN scandal. http://www.internetgovernance.org/2016/08/07/icann-board-must-act-in-respons e-to-dot-registry-scandal/ It's my opinion that we can't stand by and let nothing happen, we need to press for some responsibility among ICANN senior staff. What do you think? Dr. Milton L Mueller Professor, School of Public Policy Georgia Institute of Technology Internet Governance Project http://internetgovernance.org/
