Thanks all I think EC must fix the issue once and for all and make it clear that will never happen again above all DURING ELECTIONS. Kind of discussions may give advantages or disadvantages to members involved on elections regarding their views or opinions on the process. As for me, election period has to be "silent and noiseless" to avoid influential voices on process. Just some thoughts. I also see that we got a healthy debate with participation of many of our members, that people could from procedural standpoint use existing provision in the charter on the matter . In addition to that, others are already proposing possible solutions for future. Best Regards, Rafik Dammak 2016-08-25 0:36 GMT+09:00 Tapani Tarvainen <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>>: Dear NCSG members, The Executive Committee of NCSG has decided that in the GNSO council elections, voters may choose up three options, including candidates and None of the Above. Any candidate getting less None of the Above will be considered not elected. In the NCSG Chair election, if None of the Above option gets more votes than the candidate, the candidate will be considered not elected. Election will proceed uninterrupted. If you have already voted you don't need to do anything, but you can vote again if you think this makes a difference - only the last vote will count. But if you have not yet voted, there's still time! Voting will close on September 2. Make sure you vote before that. -- Tapani Tarvainen Chair, Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group
