I'll make one final pitch for why I think we need Michael on the MAG. He's active and he's visible. I know very few people who are working across as many different policy areas as he is. He is constantly commenting on issues, lending his support to causes where appropriate, completing surveys and evaluations, editing documents, and working across geographic regions and stakeholder groups. He's built and continues to build alliances based on mutual values, hard work, and meaningful engagement. He treats people with respect, understands the importance of working within the system rather than tearing it apart, and is not afraid to disagree with you or to accept he is wrong. And when he is not speaking, he is listening, and addresses issues without demonising the other side. He is big on collaboration, on finding sustainable solutions to problems, and on accountability. The MAG would be stronger with Michael a part of it.
Good luck to all candidates.
