If you require design assistance for your publication, you need to provide all the text, images, layout, and publication type/size requirements (i.e. one-pager vs. trifold, etc.). You will receive a maximum of 2 iterations of the publication. Please provide everything to Andrea Glandon [r20.rs6.net] by 23 AUGUST. Please keep in mind that all materials, new or updated, need to be evergreen.

TRANSLATION DEADLINE:

If your publication requires translation, please provide the final material(s) to Andrea Glandon by 13 SEPTEMBER. This ensures that there is enough time to translate the publication by the start of the meeting, with the possibility of potential changes. If your materials require design assistance (outlined above), please note that the final materials will have to be complete, including the edit/approval process, by this deadline to be translated

This is a significant step in the preparation for the New gTLD Program: Next Round, as directed in the Board resolution [r20.rs6.net] approved at the ICANN76 Community Forum in Cancún, Mexico, in March 2023.

NEW: ICANN Learn Course About the Root Server System

This course explains root servers and their role in the Domain Name System resolution process. It also explores common misconceptions about the RSS and the difference between root server instances and identifiers.

NEW: ICANN Seeks Input on a Specific ccTLD Related Review Mechanism Policy Proposal

This is in regard to the final policy recommendations of the Country Code Names Supporting Organization's policy development process on the introduction of a review mechanism for specific decisions pertaining to the delegation, transfer, revocation, and retirement of country code top-level domains.

NEW: ICANN Seeks Input on GGP Applicant Support Initial Report

This report is the output of the efforts of the GGP Team to provide guidance recommendations relating to the identification and prioritization of Applicant Support Program metrics, including indicators of success, as well as those relating to financing the program when qualified applicants exceed allocated funds.

🔥 ACTION ITEM: ICANN79 Fellowship Application Round Now Open

The ICANN79 Community Forum is taking place 2–7 March 2024 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The application deadline is 18 August 2023 at 23:59 UTC. If ICANN79 is held virtually, the Fellowship Program will also be held virtually.

🔥 ACTION ITEM: Policy Transition Program on gTLD Registration Data Launches Expression of Interest

The ICANN Policy Transition Program creates opportunities for newer ICANN community members to cultivate substantive knowledge on a specific policy topic, while fostering relationships and value in service through connections with experienced ICANN community members.

The Policy Transition Program will meet monthly via Zoom, from September 2023 to March 2024, and will explore gTLD Registration Data: The Temporary Specification and Beyond.
