NEW: ICANN Contracted Parties Set to Vote on Proposed DNS Abuse Amendments

 

On 9 October 2023, ICANN will open a 60-day voting period for ICANN-accredited registrars and generic top-level domain (gTLD) registry operators to vote on the proposed 2024 amendments regarding Domain Name System (DNS) Abuse obligations in the Base gTLD Registry Agreement (Base RA) and 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA).

NEW: ICANN Request for Proposal: IMRS Cluster (Germany) Colocation

 

ICANN org issued a request for proposal (RFP) to identify one or more vendors to provide a secure colocation space in the Frankfurt, Germany metropolitan area for one new ICANN Managed Root Server (IMRS) cluster.

NEW: Call for Nominations: ICANN Academy 2024 Leadership Program

 

From 9 October – 15 November 2023, ICANN has issued a call for nominations for the 2024 Leadership Program, scheduled for 29 February –1 March in San Juan, Puerto Rico, just prior to the ICANN79 Public Meeting.

FRIDAY 🔥 ACTION ITEM: Calling for NextGen@ICANN Applications for ICANN79

 

ICANN wants to hear from university students living and studying in the North American region who are interested in the future of the Internet and in participating in the ICANN79 Community Forum Meeting. ICANN79 is scheduled to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico from 2–7 March 2024.

🔥 ACTION ITEM: NextGen@ICANN Mentor Program Nominations

 

The NextGen@ICANN Program seeks nominations for the 2024 Mentor Program. This appointment will serve for the ICANN79, ICANN80, and ICANN81 meetings.

 

Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, 1 November 2023.

 

The community-nominated mentor will be responsible for overseeing the mentor process. Communities may choose to appoint program alumni and are encouraged to appoint active community members who have an interest in mentoring students.
