Dear all,
Generally speaking, it is obviously key to monitor aspects such as
transparency and accountability. In my experience, I have observed
that the more transparent an organization/government is, the more it
tends to increase confidence in this particular
organization/government. I would add that another aspect that
particularly worries me is the fact that part of the recommendations
of the first ATRT team have not yet been implemented by ICANN.
Therefore I am hoping that, the future recommendations of the
soon-to-be constituted ATRT 2 in addition to responding to the
fulfillment of a contractual obligation, will be fully considered and
implemented by the Board once issued.
Regards,
Marie-laure
ATRT team, a contractual requirement would be fulfilled Therefore
some questions

And I think that the ATRT - being responsible for reviewing, and then recommending improvements on, the accountability and transparency of ICANN is central to any evolution we might someday see ICANN and its ability to become a free standing dynamic organization.

While I am still working on that theoretical answer, in a practical sense, I think that accountable and transparent Accountability and Transparency Reviews, are a key ingredient.
