This week, IANA stewardship transition on internet governance headlines again as "four conservative states Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Nevada filed a lawsuit to stop the IANA transition<http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/state-ags-sue-to-stop-internet-transition-228893> in an effort to block the U.S. government’s contract with ICANN for IANA functions from expiring this night". On domain name, with just a little more than three months left in 2016, the number of domain name disputes filed at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) appears to be headed for a record year.
